If it's your first time ordering with us, below are some answers to our Frequently Asked Questions. 


Can I pay by Credit Card?

Yes. All visa/mastercard payment is accepted.You will need to select payment under PAYPAL to proceed with credit card payment without having to log in or register.

Do you provide cake knife and candle?

No we do not provide candle but we do provide cake knife. You will need to go to (add on) tab to purchase for our fireworks candle if you need to.

Will my cake be fine in the fridge overnight if I collect it the day before my event?

Yes! All  of our cakes can be eaten 24 - 48 hours after pick up. We recommend you to wrap the entire cake box in 2 layers of cling film before storing in the fridge. This keeps the cake free of fridge odors and helps any edible flowers to remain fresh. Bring the cake to room temperature before serving. Keep it away from direct sunlight, heaters or flames. 

How do I place my order with you? 
You can do this via our secure online shop at anytime via IP88 payment. Just choose your preferred cake style, icing colour, cake flavour and we'll look after the rest. You will receive an email confirmation once your order has been accepted.  

Can I change my order once it's been placed?
Yes, we can change any order within 10 days of it's collection date. Simply email us your order confirmation number and what you would like to change. We will confirm all updated orders via email. 

What's your cancellation policy? 
We offer a refund if you need to cancel your order within 5 days of it's collection date. Please note there is a %15 order processing fee that is not refundable. 

How far in advance should I book my cake with you?
As soon as you can. We take orders on a first come, first serve basis and have limited availability.  All of our cakes are made to pre-order 2 days prior.

I've left my cake to the last minute and the website says you are already booked out! Is there any chance you can squeeze my order in? 
We might be able to! Simply drop us an email at bns.brownsugar@gmail.com to see if we can fit you in.
We will reply within 24-hours.

Can you write a personalised message on my cake? 
Unfortunately no. If you would like your cake personalised, we highly recommend purchasing a customised cake topper through our secure online shop. Here, (https://www.brownandsugar.com.my/collections/cake-topper)If you have purchase a cake topper from other vendor, please have these delivered to your home.

I've seen a cake on your Instagram feed that I really like. Can you make something similar?
Yes. Our Instagram pictures will have a description of the cake styling that you can follow when ordering your cake. Please note that all our cakes look unique, with no cake being exactly the same.

Can you make a cake that uses fondant? Can you copy a picture from another cake maker?
No. We have a strict no fondant policy that we take pride in, so you won't find any fondant in our kitchen.You can email us your order confirmation number and attached along the image, but we will use the picture as our inspiration only, we cannot and never copy other cake maker design.

Do you make Vegan Cakes? How about Gluten Free?
Unfortunately, no! All of our cakes contain flour, eggs, milk and butter and we are unable to substitute these ingredients in our recipes. We understand your interest, so currently we're still in experimental process to making a Vegan and Vegetarian Dessert. 

What's the best way to transport my cake once I collect it from your place?
Keep the cake box on the floor of your car and make sure the air conditioning on. The floor is the flattest and most stable part of the car. Try to avoid putting it on the seat, as it can cause the cake to slope during transportation. Keep your cake refrigerated and bring to room temperature atleast 30 mins before serving. 

Do you do deliveries to homes or venues?

Self Pick-up ONLY : Brown & Sugar do not provide delivery services, .If, you request a delivery services upon your check-out, we gently remind you to insert 2 hours before the event. Thus, delivering our delicacies (especially our tall cake) need to take an extra careful while driving and they can still manage to arrive at destination even through busy traffic. We recommend to deliver straight to your event venue to ensure quality of your cake and B&S will not take any responsibility for any incurred during transportation. You can manage your own delivery too via third party (Delivery Services Suggestion: GoGet, Uber or GrabCar).
